South West Tuning Co. provides vehicle tuning, diagnostics, programming tools and workshop support in Western Australia. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to South West Tuning Co.

The personal information we collect depends on how you deal with us and may include:
- your name, business or workshop name, email address and telephone number;
- vehicle details, workshop requirements, current tuning tools, primary market and information included in your enquiry;
- messages and other information you provide by email, telephone, WhatsApp, Facebook or Messenger;
- form responses, consent records and referral information;
- technical information such as browser type, device type, approximate location, pages viewed, referring page and interaction data collected through website analytics; and
- publicly available information from our Facebook page when public posts are displayed or republished on our website.
Please do not send sensitive personal information unless it is reasonably necessary for us to help with your request.
How we use information
We use personal information to:
- respond to customer and workshop enquiries;
- assess vehicle, tuning, diagnostic, tooling or trade support requirements;
- arrange services, provide support and maintain business records;
- process workshop referrals and assist with portal onboarding where requested;
- operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve our website and services;
- understand website traffic and the general effectiveness of our content; and
- meet legal, regulatory, insurance and accounting obligations.
We do not sell personal information.
Contact forms and customer enquiries
When you submit a website form, we receive the details entered in that form. Our workshop referral form may request a business name, contact name, email address, telephone number, current tuning tool, primary market, notes and confirmation of consent.
Website forms are processed using Netlify’s hosting and form services. We use submitted information to respond, identify your referral, assist with portal setup and provide the service or support you requested.
Information sent through telephone, email, WhatsApp, Facebook or Messenger is used to answer your enquiry and may be retained with our business records so we can follow up, provide ongoing support and understand previous communications.
Google Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use our website. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies to collect information about visits, including pages viewed, interactions, device and browser information, approximate location and referral information.
Cookies are small data files stored by your browser. You can block or delete cookies using your browser settings, although doing so may affect some website functions. You can also use Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on if you do not want your activity made available to Google Analytics.

Facebook and Messenger integration
Our website links to our Facebook page and Messenger, and may display or republish content from our public Facebook page. If you follow a Facebook or Messenger link, Meta may collect information about your visit and your interaction under its own privacy and cookie practices.
Messages you send through Facebook or Messenger are handled through Meta’s services and are also available to us so we can respond to your enquiry. We do not receive your Facebook password or account credentials.

When we share information
We may disclose personal information where reasonably necessary to:
- technology providers that host, secure, analyse or support our website and communications, including Netlify, Google and Meta;
- Zentune when you submit the referral form and consent to us sharing your details for referral identification, portal setup and linked credit pricing;
- service providers or technical partners involved in responding to your requested work;
- professional advisers such as accountants, insurers or legal advisers; or
- government agencies, regulators or other parties where required or authorised by law.
Some service providers may process or store information outside Australia. Their handling of information is governed by their own terms and privacy practices, as well as any arrangements we have with them.
Storage, security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. No online service, email system or data transmission is completely secure.
We keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, to provide support, maintain appropriate business records or meet legal obligations. When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete it or remove identifying details.
